OUR VISION

We are a beacon of light to those around us. We offer grace and hope to all, through the love and forgiveness of Jesus, the life-changer!

We worship together, learn together, pray for one another, and live out Jesus’ truth and love in the highs and lows of life.

OUR BELIEFS

We believe that God, as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, reveals Himself through the divine record of scripture.

We believe that God the Father wills for people everywhere to know Him and be made new in Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son, offers salvation to all through his death and resurrection. Salvation is received by personal faith and repentance of sin.

We believe that those who are made new in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with and led by God’s Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible to be God’s Word, and the Truth by which we establish our faith and conduct, enabling us to live God-honoring lives.

We believe that the purpose of the Church is to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24) and to reach a lost and fallen world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds.

About our Interim Pastoral Couple

Ray and his wife, Winnie, will soon celebrate 51 years of marriage.
Together, they have raised two adult children and shared a life of
ministry that spans nations and decades. Ray earned his Master of
Divinity from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Philadelphia
in 1980, and later received his Doctor of Ministry degree from United
Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, in 2015.

From 1980 to 1986, Ray and Winnie served as church planting
missionaries in Japan. Since returning to the U.S., Ray has served
in a variety of pastoral and administrative roles both stateside
and across Asia. His heart for the global church remains strong—
today, he continues to teach lay leaders in Japan via Zoom and is
currently writing a book for the Japanese Brethren in Christ Church
titled Good News from the Jesus Story: A Concise Handbook of
Christian Belief.

Ray’s passion for the local church began in San Francisco, where
he was deeply impacted by a streetwise, Gospel-driven pastor named
Paul Hill. That early experience ignited a lifelong commitment to the
transformative power of Jesus and the community of believers who
follow Him. “The church really is the hope of the world,” Ray says.
“When people put their faith in Jesus, serve, worship, eat, and work
together in love, you always see the phenomenon called the church.”

Now, part of the community and the team at Free Grace, Ray
continues to invest his best energies into loving Jesus, people, and
Christ’s Church. For Ray, following Jesus is not just a journey—it’s a
great adventure.
